What can I do?

  • Explore historic Coldingham Priory, founded by the Benedictines in 1098, destroyed by Oliver Cromwell in 1650 and restored in the nineteenth century.
  • Enjoy Coldingham Bay’s award-winning beach, admire the multicoloured beach huts and go rockpooling in the pools at either end.
  • Try your hand (and legs) at surfing.
  • Walk north or south along the Berwickshire path, with great views of the cliffs and coastline.

What do I need to know?

  • The St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve ranger runs rockpooling events at Coldingham.
  • A lifeguard is on duty at Coldingham beach on summer weekends.
  • Coldingham Priory Church is open on Wednesday afternoons from May to September and Sunday afternoons in July and August.
