Our Coast, Our Sea - Seahouses - Harbours and Herring Girls

Meet by the TIC at the main car park (parking charge) NU219318 at 2pm
Learn a little more about the historic environment of Seahouses by joining a walk led by Harry Beamish, National Trust Archaeologist, and Katrina Porteous, local historian and writer which will a look at the history of a larger settlement at Seahouses. Well known as a holiday centre and for boat trips to the Farnes, Seahouses has a rich history of herring fishing, curing and kippering, as well as lime and other industries.
Walk will last for 2-3 hours.
