The Geology Day, led by Ian Kille, will be held in the Palace Green Pavilion with a donation going to the Palace Green Pavilion Trust and the 5th Berwick Scout Group. The day (10am to 4pm) will cost £7 per person which will include tea and coffee as well as soup and Great Northumberland Bakery Bread. Early booking is suggested as the Geology Day is limited to 20 people and places are going rapidly. The morning of the Geology Day will consist of a series of short talks about the geological history of the area and the different types of rock and fossils. There will also be time for discussion and looking at rock and fossil samples and explanatory displays. The afternoon will be spent applying the morning’s knowledge to real rocks on Berwick’s Little Beach.
