Northumberland Coast Path Stage 5 – Belford to Fenwick
Wednesday 25th August 2010, Start at 10:00 at Belford Market Cross (NU 108 338)
Distance 10.3km/6.4 miles (with 1 mile extension ot St Cuthbert’s Cave)
Time 4 1/2 hours
This is the inland section of the Coast Path, howver it offers magnificent views of Holy Island, Bamburgh and the Farne Islands. We will make a short detour to St. Cuthbert’s Cave for lunch. This walk includes a couple of steady climbs on good paths.
Public Transport Start time coincides with the arrival of the Arriva 505 Coast and Castles Connection service from Alnwick and Newcastle. Return to Belford on the 14:37 Travelsure 411 service. An Arriva 505 Coast and Castles Connection service leaves Belford at 15:32 directly to Alnwick, Morpeth and Newcastle.
Free walk, though you will require return bus fare.
