Northumberland Coast Path Stage 6 – Fenwick to Berwick-upon-Tweed
Wednesday 1st September 2010, Start at 09:30 at Fenwick Village(NU 066 400)
Distance 19.5km/12 miles
Time 6 1/2 hours
Walk along the wide open flats of Fneham and Holy Island and the vast Goswick sands before chaniging scenery completley after Cocklawburn to walk along the cliff-top path into Spittal before crossing the River Tweed in to Berwick and the end of the path.
Public Transport Start time coincides with the arrival of the Arriva 505 Coast and Castles Connection service from Berwick. Return to Fenwick on the 17:05 Arriva 505 Coast and Castles Connection service which continues to Alnwick, Morpeth and Newcastle. Berwick has good rail connections with Newcastle and Scotland.
Free walk, though you will require return bus fare.
