Our Coast, Our Sea - Chat as much as you like

12 January 2011

If you like chatting to people then Northumberland Wildlife Trust would just love to hear from you.

For, the wildlife charity has put out an SOS for volunteers to join its enthusiastic marketing and fundraising team to help with its growing number of marketing activities around Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside.

The volunteer tasks will include selling Trust membership, helping to organise events, co-ordinating the distribution and collection of donation boxes/buckets, running activities at events and going out and about to help promote the wildlife charity.

No experience is necessary but an outgoing personality is essential. Any necessary training will be given and all volunteers will be subject to a CRB police check.

Matthew Poole, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Volunteer Co-ordinator said: “The Marketing and Fundraising team is made up of a great bunch of people and to be a volunteer with them is a wonderful opportunity for anybody with a few hours on their hands who wants to get out of the house and enjoy themselves. One volunteer has been coming along for the past 8 years, so they can’t be that scary, so come on, what are you waiting for?”
