Our Coast, Our Sea - Hoping to inspire the next generation

As one of the leading conservation organisations in the region, the Trust is dedicated to protecting wildlife and inspiring people, whatever their age, to care for their own environment for future generations to enjoy.
The organisation works with over 40 schools each year; it also takes over 80 groups of students to visit its nature reserves and the teachers it works with find that learning about nature outside the classroom not only encourages practical life skills and increases knowledge across the curriculum but stimulates creativity and independent thinking.
Any school which becomes a member will be able to enjoy a range of benefits including a welcome pack containing: an environmental education CD packed with wildlife ID sheets, quizzes, activities and project ideas; password access to teaching resources from the national Wildlife Watch website; a Wildlife Watch pack containing a magazine, posters, stickers and activity handbook full of information on wildlife and things to do plus a framed membership certificate to hang in a prominent place in the school.
In addition, stories about participating schools will be posted on the Trust’s new website www.nwt.org.uk with a hotlink to individual school website and they will also receive e-newsletters packed full of tips, competitions, details of funding opportunities, discounts and school news and ‘Link’, the Wildlife Watch leaders’ magazine and Wildlife Watch magazine (produced by The Royal Society for Wildlife Trusts) three times a year.
Not bad considering the cost of membership is just 95 & VAT per year!
