Our Coast, Our Sea - Northumberland Coast AONB Annual Forum
26 October 2010
The Northumberland Coast AONB Partnership will be holding its Annual Forum on Tuesday 16th November 2010, at RAF Boulmer. The invitation to attend is open to all with an interest in the coastal area.
The Forum will provide an opportunity to:
•Review past work and future challenges for the AONB Partnership;
•Experience the historical heritage, environmental programme and sustainable development of RAF Boulmer;
•Learn about Military Operations in Protected Landscapes;
•Network with others with an interest in the conservation and enhancement of the AONB.
Cllr Pat Scott, Chair of AONB Partnership said “it’s fantastic to think this is the fifth Annual Forum of the Northumberland Coast AONB. I’m very proud of what has, so far, been achieved by the AONB Partnership, even in times of recent financial adversity. The Annual Forum provides a really good chance for interested people to find out more and get involved. RAF Boulmer has been a longstanding supporter of the AONB and are a key stakeholder in the management of the area. We are really grateful for their generous invitation to provide such an unusual venue for the Forum. Participants will get a unique opportunity to view at first hand the interesting historic heritage of the base, and RAF Boulmer’s excellent environmental work”.
Places are strictly limited, but for further details, or to register to attend the Forum, please contact Mel Nicholls on 01665 511207, or mel.nicholls@Northumberland.gov.uk
