Northumberland Coast AONB Awards for Excellence

The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership is inviting nominations for three new awards to acknowledge, promote and celebrate excellence in the care, management and development of our coast and countryside.

Has a well-designed new building or conversion caught your eye…?

Are you proud of the conservation work you have carried out on your land…?

Have you implemented green measures at your tourism business?

Then enter your scheme, or the scheme you have seen for an Award to recognise this excellent work.

The three awards are for exemplary:

•Building design
•Farming and land management
•Sustainable Tourism

The three Awards will reward those whose work helps to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the AONB and improve the area for wildlife, visitors or residents.

The Awards will also provide examples of best practice and, it is hoped, inspiration to others by illustrating how care of the AONB can be successfully integrated into a whole variety of areas of work.

In all categories, innovative approaches will be encouraged.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who work hard to look after our stunning coastal landscape to receive some recognition for their hard work and dedication. Winners will receive a certificate and plaque and will benefit from publicity and promotion.

Nominations should be submitted by 31st January 20011. The awards will be presented at an event in March 2011.
